Bongo Fury

My local Bongo friendly garage, A&S Motors (or is it Services?) in Caerphilly has done well looking after our Bongo so far, but the time is due for a coolant change. Knowing this is rather critical to get right and not a job to rush, I was wondering if anybody else has used them to do a coolant flush and change and has had good results?

I'll also get the stat replaced and a few other minor things checked.

Hi, I use AandS as well just had the Bongo serviced there. I asked if he was familiar with the coolant system and he said they had done quite a few. Although mine didn't need to be changed I would be confident in Andrews ability to do it. He seems a pretty genuine bloke, not many of them left....

Cool - thanks. I've since heard that another guy has had his coolant changed by them. He said they hate doing it cos it takes ages - that's a good thing in my book since it is supposed to take a long time! I don't mind paying for the time it takes, so long as the job is done well.

I've just had the service done by A&S - all seems well. Coolant, oil, rear ARB bushes and wheel balancing all done. All is purring nicely (not that it wasn't before really, but it clattered over bumpy roads and now doesn't).

nice to know there's someone close at hand (i'm in rogerstone) who i can turn to if i need some work doing.

where exactly in caerphilly are A&S ?

do you have their address and contact number ?

i heard there was a guy near bedwas that was also recommended ?

I guess I would be the guy from Bedwas - I couldnt possibly recommend myself.....not for service and repair work anyway but can definitely recommend A&S.
They are on Pontygwindy Rd just after the ARO ? car wash and actually located within 'Jacksons Car Sales' yard.

sorry ed i'm not after a conversion - the 8 seater is more flexible for my needs at the moment.

but should i change my mind i know where to come.

Had my MOT there last week ,and taking our Micra there on friday for its MOT as well,i must admit i found the guys there to be very pleasent and helpful, they will definatly be getting further business from me in the future They are part of the good garage scheme too
