I urgently need recommendations about a suitable firm to look at leisure battery issues in York. will be in york for 5 days before heading to europe. replies this morning would be very helpful. thanks

There is a Battery place on Leaman Road past the National Railway Museum on left hand side. They may be able to help. I think the name is York Batteries. I hope this helps

They don't profess to know about leisure batteries but they have done a good job of finding shorting out wires.
