Idea for Day Meet/Weekend Day Out

Post by snow_kiter » Tue Jan 26, 2010 11:28 pm

As an idea for a day out has anyone been to
Diggerland
Just off J31 M62 at Castleford.

Looks like a good idea for the big kids and possibly some smaller ones as well.

Wondering if anyone has been and could recommend or not for a potential day meet.
How busy does it get?
Do you get your monies worth? £15 per person for unlimited rides/drives.

Never been myself but they are always bleating on about it on my local radio station, I suppose it could be fun If they wasnt any little kids there then we could have some proper fun in those diggers  , I wonder if the do an adults only event???

This sort of thing would be a giggle, a lot more expensive though....

Thanks Pete. How busy did it get? Don't want to be spending £15 to spend all day in a Q.

At the Durham Diggerland the queing was not too bad at all, we packed in a lot of activities in the day we were there :) Castleford branch could be busier as it is close to lots of main roads, durham on the otherhand was tucked out of the way in a quiet area.
