Well the People from Yorkshire should be really proud of their land. We returned to Hubberholme, via Skipton, Kettlewell and Buckden. It has been quite a few years since we were last there and found it was even better than we remembered.

We had a chilled day next to the river padding, falling and freezing in the water. Didn't stop the little ones though. We stopped just next door to Mr Icecream Man which was the perfect pudding after a hearty BBQ cooked on the Pink Bucket by Chef Munchkin.

We left around 5ish and stopped in Buckden to take in the views. There is a really nice Tea room there and plenty of other food and drink providers.

Then onto Kettlewell and found a small campsite £7.00 per night approx 30 paces from the first pub, 20 paces more to the next and just round the corner another. There is a medium sized car park in Kettlewell along with another little campsite next to the river. This was an aunatural camp as the grass was left they way it grows complete with buttercups and other meadow flowers.

Finished off in Skipton for a Chippy Tea and drove through to Sutton Nr Cowling for look at the Park.

Beautiful weather and astounding scenery. Well worth a trip out.

Here's a few pics of the day. Some taken by Emma.

I tell you what. The wet suit thingies came in handy for the girls.

The little site in Kettlewell will do club meets. We stopped and asked. The roads were quite narrow in parts but slowly does it and take in the breath taking scenery.

Despite the weather i think it has been a "quiet" bank holiday up here looking at those pictures - its normally wall to wall cars -we have spent many happy hours up there (especially in the kings head kettlewell)its just a few miles up the road from us - funnilly though we spent saturday in your part of the world.
