They will not be needed Geoff. I am due at the hospital when I get back from my holidays to see what has gone wrong with the cataract operation on my right eye three years ago. I only found out that I had a problem just after I had driven 700 miles to Great Yarmouth and back in my motorhome a few weeks back. My eye is now worse than before the operation but fortunately the optician says that I can continue driving as you only need one good eye to drive.

Thanks for telling me Brian. At the moment it appears to be improving thanks to the drops I have to put in 4 times a day. At the moment I can see out of it to drive ok but I have trouble reading the sub titles on the TV with it. Funny thing is that when I first found out I had just driven 700 miles to Great Yarmouth and back to get a few small faults in my new motorhome fixed with no problems. It was only when I got home and read the paper after having my tea did I find out, at first I thought that my glasses were a bit dirty then gave myself a sore eye by rubbing it too much. The optician said that my other eye is 100% good as did the doctor who is sending me to the hospital.

Hi Folks not going to be able to make it this time, van is due its annual habitation service on the Thursday at the factory in the Cotswolds, so we are going to stay on the CCC site at Oxford for the weekend to take in a little culture. The place must be special David Cameron, Margaret Thatcher and Tony Blair were all educated there.
See you at the next one.

Shan't be able to make this one Jo. My daughter is dragging me down to Jerez to see the Moto GP. Knowing my luck it'll probably rain there and be nice in the Lakes.
See you next time, have a good time all.

Don't forget to stop at Eyemouth Harbour for a meal at the chippy Harry. There is another good one right next to Jedburgh Abbey but it looks as though you will not be passing through my neck of the woods unless you intend to pop into Lauder when the Scottish Bongo Bash is on.

In anticipation of this upcoming weekend I have packed Olive. Had an absolute nightmare - our canvas came back from having its fly mesh replaced (nice job btw) and I put the 2 metal bars that ensure a clean drop back the wrong way round - resulting in pop grommet thingies and a small tear. So, that repair alone took an hour...... :x :x :x :x :x

However, another 2 hours and she is now ready to go, with the exception of some fresh food into the fridge. All this in anticipation of a hangover from visiting that london for the Army v Navy Rugby at twickers - over the years the game is an aside to some brilliant banter and lots of ale - more like a reunion for the services.... \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D we even let the crabs (RAF) turn up, but only in small controlled numbers in case they get overwhelmed by being surrounded by matlows and pongos and need a little lie down....

So, on top of the packing I've only some of me fruit cake and olives left to prepare.

Really looking forward to seeing everybody as it's been ages and we've loads of news to tell, as I imagine there will be lots of catching up to do.

See you on Sunday some time peeps!..... 8) 8) 8)
