Shame it has to be Lancs because there is a top site to suit all your needs at Haworth, Upwood Caravan Park. Club/Bar onsite Play area for the chidlers, Dog friendly, refurbed heated shower block and other amenities. Also they are well aware of the Fury Clan.

Here's a link for you http://www.upwoodpark.co.uk/LOCATION.aspx

or this one near Blackpool with Rally facilities

Looked on the http://www.royalumpire.co.uk/ website it say there are 195 hook ups. At 12miles away from home it almost looks to near to stay at for me

We have now cast our net a bit wider. Following a recommendation from BongoBaz we are investigating a site in Holmfirth, West Yorks.

Trough of Bowland is lovely - http://www.pitchup.com/activities/9252/

Maybe stay near Clitheroe, which is a pleasant (I think, dont really know, can anyone confirm?) town to nip into

It's also close to us, but we would still be up for it not being too far away from home. Would be great if it could be in Lancs for a change! We have a big garden

This site looks very nice, if not a bit pricey at £20 per night, all in, but it has got a swimming pool and club house.
