Central locking and blanking

Hi,

First time posting and just looking for a little help. Some **** screwdrivered my passenger side lock to get in to the Bongo. Never got anything out the van perhaps they couldn't start it with immobiliser? Thats the breaks of city living and street parking i suppose?

Anyway i was thinking of fitting central locking with fob, is this an easy mod and what kit would i need?
In order to keep to looking tidy i thought I'd blank off the door locks passenger and drivers afterwards. Anyone know where i can get blanks like this i cant find anything close online and thought they'd be easy to come by?

Thanks in advance.

Have to second that.

Bad luck, and welcome aboard.

I take your points onboard. But i would still be able to open the side door with the key if battery failed and ignition would be same.

Otherwise I've got to replace every key and the ignition as well. Or look to have two keys...New locks are about 120 quid just for parts straight off then labour to fit.

Or perhaps i would just remove and blank the damaged lock and fit the fob system anyway? Unless you can rekey a lock barrel?

What do you mean by cat A by the way not sure how that would stop someone busting out a lock?

Cheers
Ross

I empathise with you had my spots nicked all I do now is crook lock and remove ignition fuse, if they want to get in they will but can't start without fuse, cheaper as well good luck :( PS i find it very hard that these f@@@@@@@ers have the fuse in their pockets
