Bye bye Bongo

Post by MikeBongo » Wed Nov 11, 2015 9:27 am

Morning folks. After 5 years of happy Bongoing and several circuits of europe we have moved onto a VW. Been so busy this last year or so building a house have not made it to any meets but will be lurking around next year .. if, of course T5 defectors are allowed!!! :)
Mike & Anita

PS. Our Bongo is still going strong and will, no doubt, re-appear before long.

I'm also thinking about moving on Mike however, I'm hoping to upgrade to a small motorhome not downgrading to a VW :D
Have you sold your bongo locally?

Traded in to Mill Garage Duns. Sad to see it go but we are planning a lot of long trips over the next couple of years and thought it was asking a wee bit much of the old bus!

Oh dear, sad to say we're in the throes of selling our Freda. Quite an emotional time, I love it, but increased comfort appeals and a wee Motorhome has been bought.

1st call after getting ad in Autotrader was a scam! Basdits.

We hope to join in group camps too, can't lose out on the company of the good people here.
Freda now gone, :-/ But nice wee Burstner obtained ;-)

Lots have moved to bigger motor homes for individual reasons, all still welcome at Meets.

The 4wd Bongos will even pull the posh ones out. 8)

Loving the ducato 4x4.
Saw an army style camper at a festival and we all mused over how he got it past SWMBO. "Dearest: :-" .... you know the Bongo wheel arches needed seeing to? :^o :) Well I took a different approach and traded it in for something really solid ....   Yes I know it needs an abseil rope to get out of it but the view from the cab is stunning"
