Business use insurance

Post by stenash » Fri Jul 22, 2016 9:52 pm

Hi, im insured with 2together which has been fine but I now need to also insure business use as well as social as the bongo is our only car and my wife has qualified as a childminder so needs to ferry another child around.

2gether checked with their underwriter who told them they wont insure business.

I wondered if any other bongo owners had tried to insure for business use and if they can recommend anyone.

Thanks

had no problem adding business use with Lifesure. Can't remember how much it actually added. Kate

It will depend on your business, I would imagine if you are ferrying people / children about for reward you might be classed as a Taxi, a very expensive and hard to get cover.

Whatever you do , get the information and cover spec from the horses mouth ...The Insurance Company ,not the jockey ...The Broker/Agent .

When you take the other aspect into consideration "Grey Import" you need to be very careful on both points of liability.
