V6 fuel consumption!

Hi Bongonauts,
Just wanted to ask if 23/24 (at best) mpg is normal ish for a 2001 V6 2WD. The Bongo is well maintained, runs immaculately, and is smooth and powerful with 68,000 miles on the clock :D It has an Outback rear conversion, pop-top, running, with 38 psi all round and has Millers additive. I guess a 2.5 V6 is never going to be super econimical but I just wondered what other V6 owners were getting in terms of their mpg?
Thanks in anticipation
Paul... Apologies if this has been covered before.

Mine's diesel, but from being here a while that sounds about right to me. 8)

My V6 over the last 12 years averages around 21MpG over the year, with sub 20MpG during the Winter local travel, and above 25MpG during the summer on longer runs.

I also did a test run the length of the country using different fuels see here https://www.igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/forum ... 12&t=74153

Thank you Gentlemen for your prompt replies, Geoff that graph is amazing, it must have taken a lot of time and effort to assemble. Also thanks for the link to other topic, really interesting data. It looks like my own MPG is ok after all, Bernie is a loaded van, but the good times it brings are completely worth it ! :D Its great to have such an amazing font of knowledge here at Bongo Fury.
Cheers
Paul
