2.5 V6 tintop. First mpg figures are in!

What's the MPG like? Can I use chip fat and veggie oil? What about LPG?

2.5 V6 tintop. First mpg figures are in!

Bought a Bongo for my daughter just there and as described in other posts had to drive it 500 miles back home from Devon to Scotland. It's a 2001 2.5 V6 tintop and it was just my wife and myself in it for the journey. Tried to stick to around 65mph, 70 on long downhill stretches and of course there were the inevitable 50mph speed restrictions on the M6. Weather was mainly dry and we got off the M74 to get into Edinburgh on the A720.
At Tebay I discovered that the tyre pressures were low (31 rear 33 front) so put them up to 37psi all round (felt much better).

Overall consumption....28.5mpg, pretty happy really given that it is of course uphill all the way!

I'd be well happy with that.

Well done.
