RIP Peter "Pop" Taylor

It is with sadness that we have to report the passing of Pop Taylor who died peacefully in his sleep a few nights ago. Pop, who had been ill for some time, was a resident of Stourport and a key figure in helping us select bands for the Bongo Bash. He was an early adoptor of the Bongo and was a very funny man. Between us we shared a keen love of horse racing and he will be missed by all. Our thoughts go out to Marianne and family. The Bongo Bash won't be the same without him (and Ladbrokes may go in to administration!)

My best wishes and cuddles to marianne and family, I know they meant the world to pop.
Many years ago they kindly invited me to there lovely home (not many do )🤭 to watch the world cup football that just happened to be while the big bash was on, Marianne did the full spread which was a memory I will always saver. They later came to ours, admittedly was was RAC assisted🤕.
What a lovely kind gentle couple and a great pleasure to have known them, he gentle and thoughtful, Marianne undoubtedly the boss.
You will be missed Pete.
Ady and chell.

Peter's wife (Marianne) has been in touch to say that Pop will be cremated tomorrow Tuesday 23rd at 1430. There will be a Bongo made of flowers. I will be representing the club on Zoom.

It was a very moving, and at times, very funny service, even when viewed remotely. Here's a photo of the Bongo wreath.
