Hello from Kent! Can anyone help with a viewing?
Hello all!
Me and the fella are hoping to buy a Bongo later this summer but would love to take a look an AFT with side conversion before renting one.
All the Bongo dealers are a long way away from us in Broadstairs, Kent I was wondering if there are any East Kent owners (or ppl selling theirs) that wouldn't mind showing us around their pride and joy? We're house trained, promise!
This seems a brilliant forum and we're really looking forward to hopefully being proud Bongo owners ASAP!

If you're looking to rent one for a break I recon this is a good time.
Plus it will give you a chance to try everything out and see if the layout suits you both.
It makes a ton of sense before you buy, but remember a good, sound, base vehicle is the main priority, nice conversion second.

Hello
Welcome. I have a AFT bongo witch is unconverted in the traditional sence but with do have over head storage cupboards and a tail end box containing all our camping needs. We opted for this layout to maxamise the sleeping space inside the van. Mine is the new shape areocity runner model. You are welcome to come over and view/talk bongos. We are in Kent, but hope to be in St Margaret's at cliff over the weekend.. PM me for more details.

Be a trifle wary of hiring a Bongo at present, make sure that the hiring company KNOW what they are doing!
Several companies are now offering hiring services for individuals and people are going out buying rubbish vehicles which they don't understand themselves are putting them on the lists for hire ..... Typical result is a panic request on FB on Saturday, vehicle being hired out on Monday, but she hadn't sorted out 12 volts to the rear of the van for a coolbox supply (allegedly a fridge!!!!), the cable had been cut when live and blown a fuse I suspect, but they had no idea where the fuse was and now had no 12 volts for the lighting, water tap, sockets etc ...... it hadn't been fixed by lunch time on Sunday when the cries for help increased!

Vrey good point, Geoff.
definitely rent from one of the reputable companies, and don't forget you can rent near your holiday destination, or start of tour, not necessarily near home.

Just a note to say a big thank you to Roy who yesterday gave me a tour of his fantastic Bongo, it's a real credit to him and has given me lots of food for thought.
The overall feeling is that Bongo's are wonderful and we would like to rent an unconverted one asap! (Although finding an unconverted rental is proving difficult, does anyone know of any?)
