Best way to sell bongo

Post by stark » Fri Jan 03, 2020 12:58 pm

HI

I'm (sadly) looking to sell my Converted W Reg van and wondered if anyone here has advice on the best place to advertise it - I also have no idea how to price it accurately.

Thoughts?

Also...

has anyone had any experience with these chaps? http://www.webuymazdabongos.co.uk/

Difficult to price these things and so much depends on being able to demonstrate (not just claim) it is in tiptop rust free condition. Also, what engine type, who did/what quality conversion etc. How long has it been in UK etc. No experience of those guys but the offers are usually depressing from the 'webuy...' type places.

Agree with Mike.

My best thought is look at as many ads as possible and see what ones like yours are asking, and a Member's Ad on here is worth a go.

It is quite a few years since I sold my Bongo privately to a friend of a fellow Bongo owner on his recommendation. When it came to the actual sale we used the AA private sellers contract. https://www.theaa.com/car-buying/buyers ... -contracts. The actual handover of the keys took place at the local branch of my bank when the teller had confirmed that the money transferred had actually gone into my account. Better to be safe than sorry.
