Cruise control

Post by Stevievee » Mon Nov 11, 2019 9:10 pm

Hoping to have cruise control fitted before our summer trip to Cornwall. I hear a lot on here about Waeco, but they seem difficult to source.

Anybody able to give me other options, including purchase and installation prices?

Thanks in advance

Great stuff, thanks Bob. Anybody have a rough idea about a price for having it fitted?

You'd have to get an auto sparks to quote for it, but it is a fairly simple DiY job.

I fitted mine one Sunday morning, and there is a Fact Sheet by Simon Jones in the Members' Area.

The only thing had me scratching my head was I didn't realise there are two blue/white wires behind the instrument binacle. Now you know that it will be easier as you'll see which one you need.

Edit: Karl Chadwick (accross the border in Wigan) does good vehicle electrcals, has a Bongo, and has been around here for a good while.

I paid ~ £300 fitted from Karl.

This was when the kits were ~ £140-£150, it may be more now.

There's the Command kits on ebay (for a premium) that are exactly the same as the Waeco MS-50. Waeco was bought out by Dometic so there's a chance the rights were sold off to another company.
