Difficulty sourcing parts 2.5d

Post by nth » Wed Aug 21, 2019 4:30 pm

Can anyone help with the sourcing of parts?
Im looking for the thermostat outlet pipe part no WL0115172A Mazda say the part number doesn't come up on their system (tried a few different dealers just in case)
There is a weep coming from around the pipe, it may just need cleaned & a new hose clip But I don't want to disturb the pipe in case it is corroded & crumbles when I remove it, would like to know I can get the part first if I need it.
Also looking for the front lower arm U brackets Part no: S10H34201 Mazda dealer saying no longer available :-?
They are looking quite corroded & would like to replace them along with the arms as they are also the jacking point.

With a few exceptions Mazda dealers in the UK will have nothing to do with Bongo parts. I've checked and the thermostat outlet pipe is available in Japan, about 3 weeks delivery time. Cost in the region of £45 + international postage + VAT + customs charges. Bongo Fury office can source this for you if you want to go ahead or you could try an import parts specialist.

The U brackets are available through the club shop in the suspension section.

How much do you recon the postage fro japan would be?
I must say theses are the first things i have tried to get from a Mazda dealer that have not been available.

Sorry, my mistake, looked at wrong bracket.

These are available at £2.85 plus the usual. I'm enquiring about these items through a parts broker in Singapore as I'm about to place an order for other stuff, but you might want to see if UAE based PartSouq can do things cheaper.

The only problem with using Singapore is that the postage costs are high. Until I undertake a formal price & availability check I won't know the exact amount. But generally speaking I find it costs about £25 per consignment up to 5 kgs, more if you want it express delivery.

Import duty and customs fees can be a problem, especially at the moment as HMRC test their new processes prior to Brexit. But I'd guess this to be about £30 per consignment with a value up to £300.

From 1st November a further 10% WTO tariff will apply on vehicle components.

If you want me to undertake a more formal price & availabilty check do this via email [email protected]

WARNING
Do not use this site for parts, I have just spent the morning on the phone to my banks fraud department cancelling my cards etc.
The site looks pretty legit, I tried to buy the brackets with my debit card & it told me the payment was on hold till my card had been verified. It told me to download some Android verification app to verify the card, I don't have an android phone so unable to do this, if you didn't have android you could go onto their live chat (which always seems to be unavailable). I left it anyway then got a text a day or two later saying my payment is still pending verification on the site. I thought I would try it again this time with a credit card but got the same message about it needing verified so I ignored it.
I got texts from my bank this morning about suspicious activity so I ignored these & contacted the bank direct, turns out there has been a host of dodgy transactions this morning including online casinos & online training courses in Europe.
I know there are lots of ways this could have happened but my credit card I used had not been used anywhere for over 8 months until I used this site which I also tried the debit card on.
