Auto headlight dimmers

Post by Philfish » Tue Jun 11, 2019 4:53 pm

Just a reminder to those with the automatic headlight dimmer when stationary. Just had the bongo fail mot because I must have caught the switch with my knee. Retest a few hours later when I showed the mechanic the switch, and passed at no extra cost.
I only knew it existed a few months ago.
These devices must be quite common in Japan. Also I have the parking stick on the front bumper

Numerous posts on here suggest it's to save battery when vehicles in Japan are caught in their endless traffic jams.

Possibly a courtesy thing too, to avoid dazle.

Plus Japanese love a gadget. 8)
