Mattress for side conversion query

Post by lucklesspedestrian » Fri Apr 12, 2019 10:37 am

Hi there,

I'm currently getting ready for my first weekend away in my new bongo and I'm looking for a bit of advice regarding mattress toppers etc.

I have a 6 seater bongo with a side conversion and without a pop-top, and whilst it's not hugely uncomfortable with the seats folded down, I think a topper of some description would make a huge difference.

I just wondered if anyone has a similar set up and what you would recommend?

The dimensions (weirdly) are exactly 2m x 1m

Thanks for your help in advance!

We use a couple of those kneeling pads you get in the garden centres and discount stores, cut to size (one large and one small on each front seat) then a camping mattress or topper on top of that.

Very comfy.

I've got exactly the same set up, apart from a raising roof.
I bought a thin memory foam mattress from Dunelm, about 1" thick, this help soften out the lumps and bumps in the flattened out seats, and it folds quite small for storing during the day.

Ended up buying this:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Inflating-Camp ... ay&sr=8-15

Stows away, quite thick so should be comfy, right size, good reviews and pretty cheap!
