bongo friends - life long friends

Post by Northern Bongolow » Sun Aug 27, 2017 9:39 pm

when you buy a van does it come with life long friends, if not then you are buying the wrong van.

when my wife and daughter were running a motorbike show stand at the winter gardens blackpool this weekend and had nowhere to stay over, a quick chat to fellow blackpool bongo peeps andy and denise soon resulted in a place to stay, welcoming bubbly AND FERRERO ROCHER.
over 10 years ago when we first got our bongos andy and denise were some of the guys that made us feel so welcome that we decided to stay, now ten years later with some up and downs in between they and are still there.
This is just my way of saying thank you for being there, and for being you, and to let some of the older bongo peeps who know you well that you are still around and still the lovely people who we met so long ago.

special kisses to denise (who always was a really good kisser) and to andy (who wasnt). love you lots.

so dont go out and buy any van, buy a van that has good friends thrown in.

I certainly never predicted the real friendships that would come from Bongo ownreship, and there's no price on what this group has. 8)

Nicely put Ady. :D

Yes. I wish all the bongo facebookers would instead gather round this forum - i'd find it so much easier to know where i was up to than on the bewildering thing that is facebook! :-(

I remember Bob kindly offering me a night's stopover about 8 years ago. I was attempting to cycle Land's End to John O'Groats. Got to Taunton and then encountered days of torrential rain and flooding. Forecast was awful. Got the train home and we caught a ferry next day to Dieppe and Bongoed down to Crete for 2 months instead.
Thanks for that offer Bob.

It'll be thoughts of torrential cider in Taunton that got Bob (aka Ben and hi i'm Bill) thinking creatively about the stopover offer

Offer still holds good if you want to do the End to End. :D

We're very convenient for 1/4 of the way (done it twice, really handy to drop off all the suff you thought you needed but now cursing the weight).

Shower and cider available. 8)
