Even started crying through the skylight. Gave the V6 it's farewell voyage at the weekend. Kept quiet that it was a one way journey as we headed to Wheelquick at Wigan. After reading on here about the emissions charges in London we decided to head up the M23/A23 and drive round our old haunts in SE1, the City and West End whilst still free. Then headed to Shugborough House, near Stafford, to check out Patrick Lichfield's 60's party apartments. Great trip.
Monday afternoon we said our goodbyes and thought how well behaved the V6 had been on it's last 2 days. It even stopped bl**dy crying. Maybe it wanted new adventures all along.
Got in the ambulance and headed home. Sleeping on the floor in the back on futon mattresses at a campsite in the Peak District before home at 65 mph on the motorway. Hardly needs an accelerator just touching 2000 revs. 3.4L V6 managed 26.5 mpg. It's going to make a great camper.
Thanks for all help. Bye Stuart and Helen

Glad the new motor is good, and you're both still welcome here and at Meets.
