Sharing a little chuckle we just had.
When bleeding Bertie my wife does the accelerator whilst I do the see-sawing. This morning I did a paranoid bleed after bongo ran a little warmer yesterday than normal (it had a new radiator a week ago). I thought I'd just do it cold and then maybe with the engine running and see how it looks. In the end I decided to continue with the revving bit but the drivers door was blocked by a wall. I didn't want to disturb her indoors from the washing and anyway she isn't one for climbing over things. So, yup, I found a broom to replace her role at the accelerator!
It made a singlehanded bleed very manageable all from the passy door, especially as there wasn't any topping up to do. (I do also use a jug+tap instead of a funnel and the jug can be rested on the dash or floor.) Awesome, but sad that we got so excited.
Mrs M has asked me to make it clear that the broom was not a means of transport.
