there are several different models, some are fixed height, some retract when not in use. a pic may help. a breaker may be the only hope like bongospares2012, or the one simon jones uses down near salisbury.

The pole in the final link reminds me (on principle.) of a motorised radio arial I fitted to a MK1 Escort estate I had when I was 17 that I bought on a whim at an "indie" motor factor.?Northern Bongolow wrote:there are several different models, some are fixed height, some retract when not in use. a pic may help. a breaker may be the only hope like bongospares2012, or the one simon jones uses down near salisbury.

I was doing crazy electrical mods even back then..
Cheaper by comparison to a race horse...
Re: Sighting stick light
Funny, i have an electric aerial in my cupboard that i had bought for my Triumph Herald a couple of years ago. Sold the car before i fitted it and had considered fitting it into the bumper of the Bongo as my aerial on the van is only 6 inches long (snapped off AFT one).
Sorry for the hijack.

to fix the snapped one cheaply - - - - - . the remainder of the mast is crimped on to a brass base, look for the crimp ring, remove the remainder of the mast then drill down into the brass stump, then tap out with a suitable thread to fit in one of the cheapo bee sting aerials off ebay.
