Rear light won't turn off

Ok, so this is probably something really obvious. However, I can't, for the life of me work it out. Bongonauts to the rescue please. The rear 'brake light'? won't turn off. It's the little red light on the back bumper. Any idea?

are you sure its not the fog light

which will have been done by importer as japanese dont use then

Fog should be wired so it only comes on when lights are switched on
You might want to get the wiring changed
So you don't flatten your battery

You should have a tell-tale/warning light on the switch, it is perfectly MOT legal to have it wired independently of the ignition or the side/head lights, just make sure that the light on the switch is working.
