Re: Tyres - Jinyu

Post by Gripped » Sat Oct 07, 2017 1:17 pm

Anyone got experience of Jinyu winter tyres on their Bongo?

I've been quoted a reasonable price for the rears 215 65 15 and they said try the winter tyre, so I might go for it.

Any views?

I know they are a budget Chinese brand, but they seem to have reasonable reviews. I am used to fitting cheapish tyres to the Bongo, and not had any real grip issues so far. Rotalla on the front and Accelera Alpha on the back, but had Falkens and all sorts before.

I'm very happy with my Maxxis all season tyres, which i think are an excellent balance between cost and all season performance:

Well priced in your size here:

Thanks Mike

The Jinyu's are still a fair bit cheaper. I know Maxxis are a better brand, but then there is so much choice out there.

I'll do some more digging. As you say, the reviews of the Maxxis are overall better than the Jinyu's so it will come down to the price comparison.

Cheers !

Excellent. From my experience they're very much worth it and still not bank breaking cost. Can't speak for longevity (though mine seem to be doing fine so far) but as i said in that thread, there comes a point where the reassurance of good grip and ride is worth a little extra wear - oooh matron

I know what you mean Mike.

I live to give mine a good pump, just to be sure you understand.
