your best chance is to put fresh wire in further back at each end, trying to repair the wires where they are will lead to them breaking again, new wire will also be more flexible, solder joints are best with heat shrink tubing to cover the joins, second best crimp on connectors.

bongo has a jap radio in and i want to replace it, how do you remove it?? i dont see any removal tool slots anywhere, before i us screwdriver on it, i thought i'd better ask.

not sure if this will help, i had this on an old car years ago, check whether the brake disc has a plash guard on the back, my car did and whilst i was working on the suspension it got bent slightly and rubbed as the suspension flexed while turning.
