Re: Replacement Arches & Decals ??

cmm303 - I filled that little gap with some custom designed and 3D printed sections, which I then bonded on. That works well. I used an expensive process at work (then hand finished and sprayed to match), but I could offer to do it on my home 3D printer in a generic silver material if you're interes...

Re: How much for a full respray & rear wheel arch replacemen

We didn't have the extra short section welded in, but instead, I 3d scanned the area where the bumper overlaps the body and the bumper and custom designed some small pieces to re-contour the missing section. I 3d printed these at work, painted to match and stuck them on. My Bongo has mudflaps, so th...

Re: Shockers>

I had mine replaced earlier this year. Mine has similar mileage. It made a huge difference to the handling. It's not much more controlled around corners, doesn't sway as much and high speed bumps result in much less bounce. Well worth doing from a safety perspective and not too expensive. I got shoc...

I'd also vote for Ed at Celtic MH. He's a perfectionist.

Re: choice of ebay rear wing panels any ideas

I too fell foul of the arch not meeting the bumper. I wasn't happy with the look, so 3D scanned the arch/bumper area and designed some parts that could be bonded onto the bumper and re-match the contours. I 3D printed, hand finished and painted them. I have mudf laps on the rear bumper, so they were...

Re: Kitchen options with full width rock 'n' roll bed

It may be worth considering not having a built in kitchen. How about using a compressor fridge (such as the Weaco cf 25) that can be easily lifted in b out and a portable stove? With a bit of imagination and fabrication time, you could make a very compact unit to hold the fridge and stove when you'r...

Re: seat belt expertise please! (Or just common sense advice

What age range seat are you using? We found the Britax First Class (plus or Si) work very well since they have two alternative belt routes, with one specifically designed to avoid 'buckle crunch'. For older kids, the Graco Nautilus also seems to be a good fit in the rear.

Re: wheel arch replacement - dilemma

Buy a trim removal tool. I broke most of the clip plastic sections just pulling them away. I then had to make new ones using L section alu, rivets and some imagination!

Re: hot n cold blowers

It doesn't seem to take too long to warm up. I think the stat was changed with the water pump a few years back. 10 on the gauge may be a bit ambitious; maybe it was more towards 11. The temp control always seems to have been a little...unpredictable, but this seemed like a particularly stark case. T...

hot n cold blowers

Driving today the blowers began to blow cold when set at 31. First thought was we had a coolant problem, but the alarm hasn't sounded and the gauge was constantly at 10ish (not modified). We've not had cause to top up recently (since the hoses were changed a good few months ago, it's remained steady...

...and remember, if you're wiring direct from the leisure battery (or starter), put an in-line fuse in close to the + source.

Re: Front wiper arms - alternatives?

I whipped the arms off, cleaned them up and I'm in the process of spraying with Eastwood Rust Encapsulator. That should keep them looking reasonable for a while. Lacquer tomorrow.
