Re: Major coolant leak

May I recommend the Haydn Temperature alarm, it has brought much piece of mind to my Bongo experience. especially when someone has fiddled with the coolant system, post mechanical problems.

Re: Noisy side door

Slowly is the key with that sliding door, don't slam it like a sliding van door and it should last a hell of a lot longer.

Re: Haydn Temperature alarm cable sensor routing..

Had a chance to go for a run today and did a round town stop start drive for 6-7 miles and the Bongo hit 90C at it's highest reading. So I imagine based on that that setting the alarm for 93C would be about right. Of course I can adjust it as I do more and different mileage and see if it changes. Do...

Re: AFT Roof wont raise or close.

Inspired by this topic I found page 192 in manual "1. Prepare the tools from the glove box." Err I don not think I have those tools that look like an allen key and a long rope. Anyone know the size of the allen key if it is an allen key ? I have photocopied the pages and will keep them in ...

Re: Haydn Temperature alarm cable sensor routing..

Just bring it over the edge of where the seat seals.....bring the wire over, put a bit of protective tube over it and the rubber seat seal will stop it from being damaged....then over the top past the handbrake etc and on under the dash Yes indeed thanks Haydn.. there is actually an almost cable si...

Re: Haydn Temperature alarm cable sensor routing..

Hi, I did the same thing recently and if yours is the same as mine there is a small rectangular slot in the cover. If you cut a small hole in the soundproofing (bonded to the other side) you can route it through there - I had to open it out a little with a file to allow the eye on the lead to go th...

Re: Haydn Temperature alarm cable sensor routing..

Friend of mine is an auto electrician and one the most frequent problems he sees is the cigarette lighter fuse blowing due to folk continually plugging in sat navs or phone chargers. With the socket also being in easy knocking distance of your left knee, the chances of it not being powered when you...

Re: Haydn Temperature alarm cable sensor routing..

Please don't use the ciggy socket cos you can be sure it will be unplugged the day you need it..wire into any ignition switched live feed. I am getting on but quite sure I can remember that, though i appreciate the warning. Driving a Bongo almost seems like you are waiting for the coolant to leak o...

Re: Haydn Temperature alarm cable sensor routing..

Ok both of those solutions running the temp sensor wire over the top of the full length of the engine then..... hmmm through the rear of the engine plate panel and on top of the bulkhead under the centre console carpet seems safer than resting on top of the engine in my mind. Though simplicity somet...

Haydn Temperature alarm cable sensor routing..

I could contact Haydn direct but I am in no crazy rush because I am awaiting a new socket set to arrive over the years I did not realize how few tools I have ! So there is a little bolt and piece of paper with recommended place for the temp sensor. I need to remove the rear vertical panel of the eng...
