Re: Bongo Security

Only problem that could arise from not stickering is that the would be thief has a crack at your car just to make sure it is alarmed and not just a gimmick flashing led, leaving you with panel/window damage

Speedo reacting that way is usually an indication of incorrect/poor grounding of the converter chip, usually found behind the clocks

Re: More speedo questions

wiring is usually modded when chip is fitted, simple removal and all you need is a philips screwdriver (P2),the stuck at 99 miles is a sign its been played with at some point and not reassembeld correctly, usually just needs pulling apart and reassembling again and will usually work.

Re: Fuel sender unit

when the usual earth fault occurs, even if you have a brand new sender it will still register as faulty! In my experience ive only ever seen 1 faulty sender and hundreds of earth faults, ground the tank and chances are you'll never have a problem

Re: Loss of woomph after changing seals..

agree with jaylee, could be the charge inlet pipe slipped, but you can normally hear the air escaping when on boost? The fuel pump timing is set with a woodruff key so it cant be set outside its working parameters, theres only a small degree of adjustment to allow for fine tuning, having said that i...

Re: Rear Taigate Door Light Switch

its like lots of modern cars, its built into the boot catch itself, if you latch it with a screwdriver you'll see the light go out etc, come on when you pull the handle.

£200 is fair price if your having the tensioner swapped out too, if not about £150 for just a belt change

possibly heater control motor, located passenger side, up behind glove box on the side of the heater casing, (usually a grey box with white plastic arm)when down to cold the motor should move the arm all the way down, and up when hot, quite common to see these broken or disconnected

Re: Feul Leak......

If they're doing a cam belt, they're half way to removing the pump anyway!! then the 2 seals can be raplaced on the bench in about 10 mins. (ps, they're the same size as the O-rings that are supplied with a fuel filter!!) try and see where the leak is tho as if its the rear inner seal, thats a major...
