First outing - Shell Island 27-28 April
We went on our first outing in "Vanda" the Bongo this week to Shell Island in North Wales. We only went for one night, just to try it out and make sure we knew how everything worked etc. We thought we'd share a few photos with you. Our sea view: - http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/cc172/P...

Re: TV aerials...has anybody tried one of these?
Why would you want to sit in the van and watch telly when there are so many other good things to do when you're on holiday?

Linkage on heater air intake under bonnet
Behind the air intake cowl under the bonnet of the Bongo, just above the heater fan there is a flap that appears to have a filter in it (or at least it has foam material i=on the face of it. This appears to pivot from the top and at the left hand end the end of the spindle sticks out and has a flat ...

Re: How do I know if I have rear air-con?
My Bongo has a full side conversion. The rear heater controls are now inside one of the cupboards with a grill in the skirting board beneath the cupboard being the heater outlet. Tony Yes, I have the controls and the outlets but it's the actual workings that I need to get to. I think I'll go for a ...

Re: How do I know if I have rear air-con?
Have the rear heater controls been moved from this position perchance..? I'll also add, about halfway/two thirds from the vent in the lower panel towards the seat front is the heat flap controller linkage... (Floor level.) Yes there is now a unit there with the cooker, sink and fridge in it. The co...

Re: How do I know if I have rear air-con?
Made even more tricky by the fact that there is a unit there with the cooker, sink and fridge in it! I'll have a look tonight to see if I can still get to any of it.

Re: How do I know if I have rear air-con?
So it would appear that as I have the rear controls then I have rear aircon. So if I'm not getting cold air through the rear vents what do i need to look at? What is separate for the rear aircon as opposed to the front aircon? I assume there is only one radiator / compressor / dryer? So is it just a...

Row of poppers just inside the sliding door
On mm Bongo there is a row of poppers (press studs) just inside the sliding door in the carpet. Does anyone know what they are for?

Re: Tailgate lights - facelift model
It's actually the one in the door that I can't get to. The white one is full of water but I also want to know how to replace the bulb in the red one should I have the need to. I thought the manual might tell me but it doesn't have anything about changing bulbs in it.

Re: How do I know if I have rear air-con?
I only seem to get hot air out of the back vents so I need to know whether that is because the rear aircon isn't working or whether it's because I don't actually have aircon in the rear. How do I tell?

Re: Tailgate lights - facelift model
I'd rather drill a hole in the back but how do I get to them? You must be able to get to the red ones to change the bulbs

Tailgate lights - facelift model
I seem to have water in one of the white lenses on the tailgate (the ones actually on the tailgate). How do i get to them? There must be a way because the red lenses on the tailgate are actually tail lights. I had a look at it and there doesn't seem to be an easy way.

Radiator grill clips - facelift
Does anyone know where I can get the push in fasteners that hold the front radiator grill onto the facelift model? They push in and then you have to push on a little clip thing to release them. they're white in colour and they seem to go brittle and break every time you remove them. I need all four ...

How do I know if I have rear air-con?
Hi everyone, I'm a newbie here so I guess I'll have loads of questions over the next few weeks. I have just bought used a 1999 facelift Bongo with the digital climate control. I don't have a manual yet but I've ordered one from Amazon. I can see how to work the climate control and how to operate the...
