Re: Loss of Power
If yours is a diesel it could be something to do with the exhaust gas recirculation thingy. Valve might be the word I am looking for. I've just had pretty much the same problem in my Fiat Multipla and had to have the offending bit replaced. Could be talking rot here, so hopefully a more educated and...

Re: Ordered a Waeco 50 Cruise Control
Ah Triumph Herald, I had three, a saloon,(with reserve fuel tank) an estate and a coupe, loved em all, still remember the reg no's, 98FBX, 7278 DF and 992FKA, showing my age now but oh how I wish I still had em especially as now all parts, even the floor are replaceable. They were cars. You can't b...

Re: Ordered a Waeco 50 Cruise Control
a former Herald & Spitfire owner drooling over your GT6! What's a tall fellow like you doing with a Spitfire? If you are still on your nightly prowls of Falmouth at 6.30/7am ish you will probably be able to hear the GT6 as hubby shatters the silence on his way to or from work  If you do c...

[are you an Arwenack or Beacon Bongo? Neither!!! You're missing the other hotbed of Bongos in Falmouth. At the risk of disclosing the location of myself and the other Bongos on this side of Falmouth to any ne'er do well Bongo thieves browsing this forum I will tell you that it begins with a B and l...

Re: Child car seats and Bongos
We have a Britax Renaissance which I don't think they make any more but it is great because it places the child high up. I suspect the Eclipse may be its successor. Whichever seat you choose, try and find one which gives a really good view out of the window as it makes for a much happier child (in m...

Re: cd wiring
Thank you Jaylee and Stringman for further helpful advice on the subject. And more photos - I love "how to" photos - they always make me feel invincible when tackling a job (or should that be over-confident).
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Re: cd wiring
Thank you so much. That is FANTASTIC. I will let you know how I get on (my enthusiasm to get on with it tomorrow has been curbed a little since I saw the weather forecast - there'll be a bit more light if I can open the doors and it's going to rain tomorrow) but will let you know how I get on with t...

Re: cd wiring
The speaker grilles don't come off - you need to remove the complete panel to fit the speakers. The original rear speakers fit onto brackets which bolt to the body and aim the sound through the grilles. you don't have to do this - you can mount the speaker onto the panel directly behind the grille ...

Re: cd wiring
I know the last post on this thread was November 2008 but is anyone still there?! Fortunately, my question as to "missing speakers" has now been answered (I have already established I haven't got them, but wondered if we had been diddled somewhere along the line). My question is - how hard...

Re: WOODLANDS 2009
Yes, please, count us in. It's a very rare thing that hubby has Friday/Saturday/Sunday off so how thoughtful of you to choose that weekend for a meet. It's probably going to be the only one the three of us can come to together for some quite long time so we are really looking forward to it (our very...
