Re: fitting electric window switch

The only thing i can think off is the manual CL loom...? From memory it cuts across the middle of the door behind the trim. When you check the door loom look for breaks in the V where it is tied to the door hinge & where the loom goes into the wing under the sheathed grommet... Do you have a rem...

Re: fitting electric window switch

Have a look at the loom between the door & the body for broken or frayed wires...
I'm thinking you may have a "short" between the window & CL circuit?? Which may have initially knackerd the switch.

Re: Fitting air con belt

That would be an easier option... I replaced a seized compressor on mine so the belt had snapped initially.

Re: Fitting air con belt

I got at mine from underneath... From memory i had to remove the front half of the belly pan..? (It can be done without removing the whole lot.) Then loosened the nut with a yank from an extendible ratchet spanner. Scanner. 8) http://lushprojects.com/bongopartsmk2/code=5390A&cat=a2ajra05&vin...

Re: Fitting air con belt

Hi, Loosen the nut in the centre of the jocky wheel, then loosen the adjuster on the top.. http://lushprojects.com/bongopartsmk2/code=1580C&cat=a2ajra05&vin=&imgno=.html Even with the wheel dropped as far as it would go i found the new belt a bit tight to get on... I just kind of put it ...

Re: bongo friendee not well

However... :D When i forgot to plug the scavenger fan sensor back in after doing a project on my diesel. I found the scavenger fan would keep running constantly & the glow light would blink on & off too! Even when i had turned off the engine the fan stayed on.. It was only when i had ...

Re: window switch

Yep, just been checking out variations on switches on eBay & there are still a couple of cheaper options to be had..?!! Still a bit of a gamble on a used variation on the part, but mines still going strong after about 4/5 years since replacement? The mechanics & design of em are slightly stu...

Re: air con belt

I got the belt & seals from the Fury shop... The compressor for a reasonable price from a guy Simon Jones recommended. My tensioner was fine. When the pump froze it snapped the belt leaving it hanging across the jockey wheel & the pump pulley??

Re: air con belt

Yep, if its just the AC compressor pump belt off then it won't do any harm.... You will just have no air con.
Mine had snapped due to compressor seizure & i had no belt for a few months before i sorted a replacement pump, new belt & seals..

Re: Radiator fans

What about the scavenger fan.. have you tested that..? From memory if you disconnect the fan sensor connection by the handbrake while the engine is running the fan will kick in.. It's a bit disconcerting because the glow plug light will flash too... But it will also stay running when you turn off th...

Re: Green light

I replaced mine with an led but i found the spooky green hue a little too bright in the back. Especially when reversing.. I prefer the interior dark.
So, i rigged the lamp to only come on when i switch on the rear heater from the front...
