Re: Dripping problem
Hi, I have a theory based on the rear AC condenser.. Could the rear heater matrix & condenser housing be damaged or cracked from a previous side impact (successfully/professionally repaired bodywork.) behind the driver's door?? However the housing unit being overlooked for damage.. (It sits pret...

Re: can anyone on you techies identify this annoying squeak
Pulley wheel was replaced from underneath... In fairness I got Bellhill to do it...! Like I said earlier, the wheel is in two parts held in place by a single bolt... The piece that drives the two belts for the water pump & alternator is kind of bonded with a rubber compound to the main pi...

Re: can anyone on you techies identify this annoying squeak
Just have a look at the pulley wheel that drives the 3 belts when the belts are off or loosened...? Have you had a burning smell of rubber when you have stopped, either emanating from the drivers side front wing or drifting in through the cab vents...?  I just sorted this problem with ...

Re: can anyone on you techies identify this annoying squeak
Hi, check the idle pulley wheel on the engine where the 3 belts go over...? The pulley wheel where the grooves for just the 2 alternator belts go is a bonded disco/cylinder to the main wheel before the AC belt..? If this bonding has gone it will make a similar noise to the second link posted with th...

Re: Stereo Wiring
There is a wire on the radio loom that takes a live feed when the lights are switched on. (Side/tail & dash ilumination.) I assume it acts to feed a backlight set up on some radios with this feature...? But with the iso connector on my JVC this serves to dim the screen so as not to be too bright...

Re: Weak heater / aircon blowers.
Just to clarify, the bit that had the tights put over as a filter, that's the bit over the actual fan that's easily accessible by taking the big plastic bit of that sits on the top. And...the bit that actually needed cleaning out of insects & muck was the bit that Jaylee is pointing to with his...

More reading here.... http://igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/forum/view ... lit=gasket
If you scroll down i made a gasket replacement for the evaporator housing which stopped air leaking into the under bonnet compartment, directing it all into the cab....

You could try pulling fuse 9..??? (15amp blue) 1st one second row down...This should cut the engine?? Then just pop it back in when starting.... I'm sure i pulled this one by accident once by accident & cut my engine.....   Just been out to check & it does..!!

I seem to remember problems like this solved in the past by finding a fitted power inverter by a previous owner as the culprit too..?!!
Try looking behind the rear panel trim in the boot where the cigarette lighter socket is & see if you can see a box of tricks..?

Re: Fitting air con belt
Much better it fitted over the crank pulley and the idler then just over half the way around the pump pulley. I stretched it around that as far as I could and then just blipped the starter and it wound the rest of the way round perfectly. Yep, the same issue i had with the belt i got... Afte...
