Re: Bodywork removal guides - doors, tailgate etc
Sliding door is easy. 1. Remove the inside handle (Concealed spring clip, like old-school wind-up window winders) and then remove the door card - take care, as it's easy to pull the clips through the board. Refit the inside handle so you can open the door! 2. Before you get out, unbolt but leave in ...

Re: Hi Newbie here - with a couple of questions
Ideally, there should. Mine is fed into my auxiliary fuseboard through one of the normal outlet fuses, back-feeding the 12v bus. I can pull this fuse to isolate the solar input to everything else. Some installations may use an in-line fuse, which would be equally as good. Additionally, my panel has ...

Re: Hi Newbie here - with a couple of questions
Many thanks for all the replies - perfect information! Thanks for the heads up especially re the solar panel - hadn't even crossed my mind! Although saying that, wouldn't disconnecting the LB isolate the stereo from any solar created power? cheers again, Andy eta - just seen your 2nd post Dave, wil...

Re: Hi Newbie here - with a couple of questions
Also - very valid point from Geoff re. solar. The charge controller shouldn't need anything unexpected as far as resetting, but you should have 3 pairs of terminals. Panel + & - Battery + & - Load + & - (There may be nothing in these) Disconnect the Battery + & - cabling to the charg...

Re: Hi Newbie here - with a couple of questions
If you want to easily remove the speaker grille, you have to drill through the plastic melted "rivets" which hold it to the panel. If you do this from behind, you can re-use the oval grille. Obviously, you will need to go through from the front and destroy the grille in the process. The po...

Re: Bongo overheat spook (worth knowing abiout false alarm)
99°C is fairly low to set as a warning temperature. I can hit 99°C occasionally when under load - i.e. fast up long hills. Usually sit about 92°-93°, but 99° is relatively easy to achieve. Certainly not worth worrying about. (Temp measured at the rear of the head) Bear in mind that the system is pre...

Re: Anyone for Download?
It's nearly that time again. As i'm all for recycling, I thought I'd recycle last year's thread. So - Who's all going to Download this year? I'm going down on the Wednesday this year (usually arrive Friday) so this will be a painful one. All day Thursday doing the Donington Village pub crawl. Can't ...

Re: External screen cover.
I've got one too, and it's been waterproof through many a soaking.
Sounds like you have a defective one - leaking at a corner or similar, and once the water's in the waterproof outer layer is preventing it drying out.

20 minute job. Can be tricky to get the new belts to go over the edge of the pulley as they tend to want to stay 'packet shaped'.
