Saw an interesting take on that problem the other day, a Towbar hitch that could be telescoped outwards sufficiently far to allow opening the door, not used for when driving of course, but adequate for static use to allow the door to open. Yup the wires change color in the last loom, so DR1 loom drivers side - Orange & Red/White, then the F loom - Orange & R/W again, then DR2 passenger door - O & R/W then after going thru the passenger switch they become Red and Green, just to add a little spice to life or something

Yes the wiring on the Drivers door and the loom if damaged will affect the passenger door. There are two stock standard faults the door switch itself, and broken wires in the loom, its will almost certainly be one or the other going on past experience. Do you have a multi-meter available ? Its mainly the struts on ours, I just carry some some silicon spray in the vehicle and squirt when it dries out either side.

You need to turn it on from the Front controls and then the rear controls will adjust the settings for the rear vents.

When you say the electrics have stopped working, what precisely isn't working ? Blinds, Lights, 12v sockets, mains outlets .....

On our R&R (not Elite) it was a combination of the Pins that engaged in the runners and the springs that held the Pins in the locked position, some heat shrink tubing on the pins stopped the metal on metal noises and some Gaffer Tape around the springs stopped them rattling whilst still letting ...

During cranking the voltage is likely to drop badly and also to have the highest back emf's floating around after it switches out this is the IG1 circuit, the IG2 & ACC is switched OFF during cranking and is probably the preferred circuit, but the alarm will self test twice however .... 1997 Pag...
