Re: Rear heater bypass / blanking kit
Welcome aboard! Did you read the final comment "Please note that some customers have bought these kits for later )post 99) Bongos and say that there was not a problem with fitting. But we can’t guarantee this." I think Ian was being careful as there are changes in other pipes regarding the...

Re: Autobox slam/jerk between reverse and drive
No its not common! Have you checked the ATF oil level ? Its Dexron III if its low, needs to be measured in a specific way; Warm the engine and gearbox up with a run for a few minutes, leave the engine running, lift the drivers seat have a some paper towel handy as you will need to wipe the dipstick,...

Re: Instrument cluster question
Looking at the diagrams the connectors haven't changed but there are significant differences between diesel and petrol versions as there are differences in the lights (lack of Glowplug) etc. You would need to check that they are from similar engines, but without checking each and every circuit I can...

Re: bleeding coolant WITHOUT bleeder pipe
Not sure too be honest! There have been a number of ideas for getting any accumulated gases back to the de-gassing tank on a permeant basis, it may be one of them.

Re: bleeding coolant WITHOUT bleeder pipe
Yes, Might be worth a search on the forum, but yes number 1 maybe the bleed pipe but it looks quite thick, 2 is the turbo link - but follow it back it should go to the turbo! If 1 is the bleed hose then it should not be attached to anything at all and just have a bung in the end, maybe its been drop...

Re: bleeding coolant WITHOUT bleeder pipe
Yes, the blue spot looks about right the outlet should be a three way spigot, the main flow, the turbo feed and the bleed pipe. Some people have cut into the turbo feed pipe as high up as possible to add a "T" piece with the T feeding a replacement bleed pipe. Three way spigots are availab...

Re: Headlights not working Bongo Diesel
Check the three pin connectors to lights themselves, they are a plastic design which suffer badly after many years when the connector pins fail, overheat and then melt the plastic! There are replacement ones on eBay ceramic based which are much better! https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&...

Re: Wires for indicators
The wires are bound together in "looms" (you don't want to touch them there)! However they breakout of the looms at various connectors around the vehicle, in the case of the indicators they come out to a plug under the dashboard on the passenger side footwell before going into the flasher ...

Re: Wires for indicators
The indicators are just a pulsed 12 volt feed to the indicator lamps, so just need to pickup the two feeds.
