I remember it being said that WD40 did the trick. My old Nissan Sunny squeaked for years but I didnt have Bongo Forum to set me right - never broke the belt though!

That would be grand bigdaddycain - I'll get the bulb (if I can kick the kids out of it - they are having a whale of a time eating popcorn and watching Hitch Hikers Guide on the 12v TV in the drive - a gentle introduction to wild camping   )

Fantastic advice as ever guys - I dont think I can add anything to top that. I got mine out OK, more by luck than judgement if I'm being honest. I used two stout dinner knives, one each side of the cubby box and by sliding them in between the box and the fascia I must have persuaded the box clips to...

Help! How do I remove radio and cubby hole above

Hi chums. Just trying to fit my BMW clock but am stumped at square 1. I cant work out how to remove the cubby hole that has been fitted above the radio as well as how to remove the radio. Anyone able to advise? I think it may be a prise it with a screwdriver job but don't want to damage anything and...

Have to admit, our SpaceWagon had remote, but it went AWOL soon after buying it. Never bothered to mend it and got by just fine (central locking was the bit that really mattered). Mango Bongo doesnt have remote, and its one less thing to go wrong I reckon. Not that remote isnt v convenient cos it is...

I don't think the insurance companies should be allowed to use the small print here to duck out their obligations. Provided tyres are sensibly inflated (+ or - a bit of the ideal), I cant see them making a major contribution to an accident. I'll bet, if you surveyed vehicles out there , there are lo...

The problem is - it seems to me - how do you establish what the correct pressures are for e.g. 18" wheels on a Bongo. Unless there is published data, you might at least have some defence if you can demonstrate you had done your best to take advice from expert sources. I wonder if Bongo Forum wo...

Make sure he gets the full guidance notes on refilling coolant curlew as it is v. specific about how it should be done, and it is important for the Bongo or else it may overheat and cause a lot of damage :!: :!:

Just been reading the workshop manual I just bought from Ian. Riveting stuff (not that my wife would agree). Strange though, I cant see where it tells you how to change the engine oil (filter yes, oil change no) or how you change the oil in automatic gearbox. Have you tried putting new disc brake pa...

Strange really - I bought an Owners Manual just so I could say my Bongo had an Owners Manual and so it would feel 'owned'. How strange is that!?!

Interesting. I've caught the 'Hold' button a few times (and a few were me just carelessly playing with the knob on the motorway - steady matron!) and thought gosh, that's a scary bit of design. I've tended to to 65-70 in the interest of fuel economy so less traumatic when it happened but still.... I...

...and remember, those little compact car starter packs that are on sale for around £15 (they have a light, tyre pump compressor etc. in them) wont even turn a Bongo engine over. I know cos I went out all cheerful with a fully charged one to start my dead Bongo and it hardly produced a noise from th...

Just got back from Rosebys in Warrington where I had hoped to buy a memory foam mattress for the Bongo roof but decided it was too thin. BUT I did buy a chromed sprung curtain rail (intended for net curtains but strong enough for curtains) and a pair of lined brown velvet curtains on sale @ £19.99. ...
