Re: Mad as a March Hare meet 3 - 5 March
Can only say on this an uncertain maybe. Depends on having a functioning Bongo. Bewilderbeast may or may not recover in time. Tensioner seized on the way home from a Bongo Breakfast. Threw off the belt and did a lot of damage.

Re: Dog guard for sliding door
Have a look at Dreambaby gates. They come in a wide range of sizes for wide American hallways and other sizes. There is a door in the gate and they can be extended on one or both sides. I have one to stop the awful Cerys rushing the front door. Mine is bolted to the wall to stop her shoulder chargin...

Re: V6 Petrol AFT - Weird Startup Problem
Had this with my V6. The carbon finger on the distributor was worn leading to a larger spark gap, that resulted in the spark not being strong enough in damp conditions. Replacing this plus new plugs cured it completely.

SMEV hob burner not staying alight thermocouple?
I have a Montague rear conversion in my Bongo. Two burners and a sink unit all in one moulding. One of the burners is no longer staying alight after I stop holding down the knob. It lights fine but goes out once the knob is no longer held in. My guess is a faulty thermocouple. Has no one ever solved...

Re: Heat Warning Light On V6 after driving through water
Update on the heat warning light problem. I have been running with the second heat sensor disconnected since January. The only effect seems to be a slight improvement in MPG. The final test came yesterday when the beast went in for a MOT. It walked it, including the emissions. So it seems the only p...

Re: Mad as a March Hare at The Golden Swan, Wilcot, near Pew
Looks like this is going to be a great weekend. Wish I was turning up but Bongo is rigged as a builders van at the moment and is full of planks of wood.
Given the crap weather earlier in the week, things were not rearranged in time. So I will just have to regret this one.

Re: Bongo Cambelt, LPG conversion?
Discount Trucks at Ashworth Near Newbury did my V6 cam belt last year. Highly recommended and really know their stuff. Cam belt oil seals and water pump £650. Its running beautifully, was before, but seals just starting to go. The water pump was changed on mileage grounds as it is difficult to get a...

Add me to the list Bob. Car and tent. Would not mind a hook up, if there is one available, but have survived without before. But very coldly.

Re: Heat Warning Light On V6 after driving through water
Most reassuring teenmal. Just what has been done to it. Catalyst checked and not overheating. Run up and down the A34 to test. Fault code cleared and has not come back, even though light was still on. Sensor disconnected to put light out. Second hand sensor for early one almost unobtainable as they ...

Scary. Totally beyond my mechanical knowledge. E bay advertises a replacement Bongo cat which claims to replace both types. Where do I go from here?
