I don't think these have ever been opened.
Difficult to explain. Pull the part nearest the glass out and away towards you, carefully. Then the window will open, but only a couple of inches.

I bought new foam from efoam.co.uk and covered them myself. That way I can get specialist opinion on density of the foam.

I think they've got it covered all ways up. Unconverted it's an 8-seater (minibus), without rear seats it's a car-derived van, and as a camper it's a motorcaravan.
