Re: Bosch / Zexel fuel pump diaphragm
Hi Teenmal Thanks....I'm just catching a few parts before I dis-assemble...they won't be an arm or a leg...There's also a Vac. line blanking plug to source at the front of the engine, on one of the solid suction pipes from the vac. pump that looks suspect, apparently...All the rest have been attende...

Bosch / Zexel fuel pump diaphragm
Hi
Does anyone know where I can get a diaphragm for the top of the early diesel fuel pump?...I have a bit of vacuum loss, and it's a possible culprit?
Cheers

Vacuum hose diagram
Hi Is there a vacuum hose diagram for the early Bongo anywhere? Also, I have a solenoid which isn't pulling the throttle on starting. It looks like the very front (white) one is the culprit, but the second one ?...is that the one operating the increase in revs when the A/C cuts in? I presume that th...

Re: Lumpy starting
Hi Mike That trick was one of Ady's, I think?...but it sure works....I'm ordering up a set of long ones as a spare set...but it's worth having a set of "adapters " made and handy if you're travelling...Incidentally, the plugs are used on a 2.0 litre Suzuki Grand Vitara '98-06, and a Vitara...

Re: Lumpy starting
Hi No...It was the plugs...strange, as the plugs failed almost instantly...only a slight warning a few days previously...I tried getting some long plugs with no success, so I had some new shorties hanging around, and I used the old 3-day camel trick...in this instance cutting the threaded top off th...

Hi
Thanks, Ian...I'm halfway through changing the plugs, so I'llsee what the issue is...I found a spare set of new plugs!

Lumpy starting
Hi Starting has been progressively lumpy. Spins first, I stop , try again for a longer spin, and it starts, but lumpy for a second or two, then runs fine. I guess the usual glowplug issue, but is there another common diesel problem?....I seem to remember another common niggle, but can't remember wha...

Re: WTO Rules
Hi Geoff Apparently Moldova aren't going to back down on the veto-ing of the UK's membership of the WTO All this business of WTO membership was made clear by the current government way back just after the vote. They stated that we would APPLY to join the WTO, and it would be a minimum delay to join,...
