They are exactly the same in all respects, except for the chassis number. A diesel Bongo will begin SGL3 (2WD)or SGL5 (4WD). A Ford will begin SGL3F or SGL5F.

The point I was making is that Haydn suffered because he parked without the handbrake on AND left it in gear :(

Rod has long disappeared so we will never know. He posted this a couple of year's ago.

What I am trying to establish is whether anyone has access to the engine diagnostic codes.

I am reactivating this old thread to ask the same question. Does anyone know where to obtain the main diagnosos fault codes? One of the members has been in touch to say he has a problem with his ABS, and the fault code is 3.

But nobody knows what it means. Can anyone help?

Between last April and June there was a dodgy batch of Comline filters where the seal came away from the casing. There were also reports of some other cheap brands, probably made at the same Taiwan factory, having the same problems. It sounds like you have a duff one, and you should change it immedi...

It's parked outside, fully valeted and scrubbed up like a brass farthing, awaiting a buyer....it's not going anywhere. But I can take a photo in the morning if you want Haydn. Not turning traitor are you Ian? How dare you, sir! Iam just re-arranging my stock! http://www.igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/avatar...

Unfortunately we are not aware of a compatible fuel filter. So Mazda is the only option. Which is why it's a tad expensive.

Where non-Mazda part numbers are known, they are shown in the database here:

If you have any problem getting hold of anything, we keep all V6 service items in stock at Bongo Towers.
