Re: how far was your longest trip in a bongo

2500 miles over 3 weeks last summer, down to the South of France and back, stopping off at various places along the way. Currently in France again now, heading home on Monday. Really recommend the Eurotunnel too - free with Tesco vouchers! :D

Fab times. :P

Re: Bongo Roof Cover

Hello Andrew,I never said that I had used the original cover. All I saw was one at Looe as I stated, which did not look as good as Nicks.I was only trying to help people who were posting in search of a cover. The problem seemed to be that the original Mazda Covers did not come up for sale very often.I...

Re: Bongo Roof Coverss

Still waiting for him to reply to all my e mails!sorry to burst his bubble but not impressed with his buisness approach I second that. I took time to take loads of photos of my original roof cover for him so as to help Nick with the project last October, with the promise of a test cover to trial an...

Re: Fridge in hot weather abroad

We've got a Waeco 12v compressor fridge and over the last 3 summers in France have found probably a similar issue. As it was running off the LB, which was constantly being charged with a CTEK charger, we found that it was taking more power from the LB than the charger could put back in. This meant t...

Re: No. 1 manifold stud

Get it done as soon as you can. We've had 2 go - first one pretty simple job to drill old one out and replace.
Second time, a whole lot more needed to be done, with replacement manifolds, gaskets, etc. needed.

Re: Tackeroo 5 on Sunday 28th April - Day meet and/or Camp

We may be able to make the meet now :) Hembrancho (Andrew) didn't realise the dates had changed either and said he too might try to come. Will let you know nearer the time if we'll make it. Keeping my fingers crossed :) Yeah, sorry, didn't realise the dates had changed. We have got a couple of thin...

Re: 10th anniversary gathering near Chester

Nice to meet up with people today, so thanks to Trish for organising the meet.

Sorry we had to dash early - our lives are ruled by a 6 and 9 year old at the moment!!!! Can't let our social life get in the way of theirs! #-o

Re: Bongo specialist garage Nr penygroes/ruthin?

Hi Paul I get all my work done by AB Garage, Manor lane, Hawarden. They've done my cam belt (plus a few other jobs), and wouldn't hesitate getting the other work you need done by them, if and when it needs. Couldn't recommend them highly enough. I also believe that Loggerheads garage have worked on ...

Re: Bongo air bag

If you are replacing an airbag wheel with an aftermarket one, you might have an issue with wiring the horn back up. If you don't, please let me know how you manage it.

Re: Roll of Honour

Also, hembramacho, notable for being the only Bongo owner I know of to have fitted LPG injection to a diesel Bongo to improve fuel consumption and power output. I'd have loved to try that on mine. Quite humbled by the mention Mike. Thank you. LPG system still working brilliantly BTW. Reckon ...
