Re: unconverted camping stuff

If you are worried about melting your seat back, use one of these tables http://www.amazon.co.uk/Gelert-FUT152-Backpacker-Table-Silver/dp/B00132D8G2 I usually just open the boot lid and stand under it if it's raining when I brew up. I've got a Trangia cooker which negates the issues of whether the g...

Have a look here http://www.igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/forum/ ... 0&start=15

I'm going to get this post moved to the "Bongoing with Children" section so we can keep everything together and easy to find.

Re: Bryher - The Blue Merle Bongo Bash Border Collie

Aw, Tim, I've just read this and I've got tears running down my cheeks. Bryher was a gorgeous dog, may she be happy and free of all ailments in doggie heaven, re-living the happy times she had with you all. Love and hugs to you all at this sad time, and best wishes for 2014 .... hoping it brings you...

Re: Mid fit or side fit camper with baby and 6 year old?

Bit unfair of me to add anything to this post as we have the flip-up rear seats and therefore have the luxury of a removable conversion :D But I will anyway, because I know how often the conversion is a useful thing, and how often it's surplus to requirements. If there's two of us (me and the boy), ...

Re: Lifesure and Vehicle Description

I suppose Bongo and Berlingo sound like brothers, but it's inexcusable to get it wrong in the middle of a claim. So sorry to hear of all your upset - I can't imagine what it must be like to be a victim of a theft but at least arrests have been made. I can only hope for your sake that the punishment ...

Re: Want to watch the TV in my Bongo when hooked up to elect

We've got an indoor aerial with booster which runs on either 12v or mains and it has been fine on the rare occasions we have used it ..... except when when we were at Princetown almost at the foot of the North Hessary Tor transmitter. Apparently we were too close  It came from Asda, and althou...

Re: Night heaters

Can I get a night heater for a bongo? They make very good day heaters too! We had a Webasto fitted about four years ago and it was worth every penny, from being able to go to bed warm and wake up warm, to warming up after a chilly walk or standing around watching our son playing rugby in bitter con...

Re: Lifesure and Vehicle Description

I agree, it is strange, and I intend to get to the bottom of it when I've got time (at the very least before my insurance renewal next October!!) Maybe it was on NIG's database, and not whoever the underwriter is that Lifesure are now using. It was NIG who underwrote my previous policies so that wou...

Re: Lifesure and Vehicle Description

Thanks, scanner. I'm quite confident that I'm covered, but I'd just be happier if the Bongo was given its correct name, particularly as my previous two insurers both managed to call it by its correct name. When I've got more time, I'm going to find out why Lifesure's computer "can't" do it.

Lifesure and Vehicle Description

Last year I changed insurers and went over to Lifesure who were by far the most competetive on the day. I am staying with them for the same reason, and have just phoned up to renew the policy, but I have a bit of an issue with them. The description of my vehicle on the policy is Mazda Bongo EST Auto...

Lovely pictures, Dave. Even the one of me isn't that bad - I've got worse ones taken when I've made an effort, never mind when I'd just put a tent up in the pouring rain

PM received, many thanks.

Re: Bongo Fest South West 12 to 16 September

Once again, a fantastic weekend in lovely company. After absences from local meets due to rugby, and being unable to come to Stourport this year, it was great to catch up with so many people again. We've missed you  As ever, didn't get to see everyone we wanted to, and didn't get to say goodby...

Re: Campsites in France

France is really set up for motorhomes and a lovely country to tour around in the van :) I am bias though considering I'm French :D I don't think you have to be French to prefer touring in France. C'est pas sorcier! And yes, I must look at your photos as I tried on my phone and my eyesight just isn...

Re: Campsites in France

Another great book. Is France Passion by vicarious books. We used it lots this summer and camped up for free with local people and got nice wine, cheese and various other products they offered at the same time :0 Am I right in thinking the France Passion sites are adult only? Le Guide Officiel Camp...
