Re: JCS (SW) LTD - Anyone heard of?

Don't forget to ask for the auction sheet with grading to be emailed to you. Wheelquick and JAL sent them within minutes of initial request. As to the £ to the yen theory I'd be wary of a car dealer saying that. Be like someone selling their house 40% below current market price because they bought c...

Re: Finding V6 Coolant Leak.

When I got there there was no leak. It's now back with them and duly dripping at a steady flow rate. The boys are busy and will fit it in between jobs. Once up on the ramp I think they'll need an umbrella when tracing it. In 10 years I've had some big overseas trips. In 10 years I've had the radiato...

Re: Finding V6 Coolant Leak.

Cheers Haydn, I took it over to the boys in Worthing this lunchtime to leave for them to fit in around other jobs. On way there windscreen wash, I noticed, had ran out. I wondered if that had been the leak. Got to garage and no leak from underneath supporting this view as reservoir now empty. No coo...

Finding V6 Coolant Leak.

I knew I would need help before the Toyota Ambulance arrives. :) Just had a couple of great days at Folkestone. Since arriving home have been leaking coolant onto the road about a pint every 12 hours. Engine been cold for 12 hours and there is still a drip this morning. It's under the main engine bl...

Re: bongo friends - life long friends

I remember Bob kindly offering me a night's stopover about 8 years ago. I was attempting to cycle Land's End to John O'Groats. Got to Taunton and then encountered days of torrential rain and flooding. Forecast was awful. Got the train home and we caught a ferry next day to Dieppe and Bongoed down to...

I see your dilemma now. I'd risk running the 15k corridor without insurance.

Re: Dubrovnik via Bosnia

Makes the trip all the more interesting! In 1981 we'd have either had insurance from the UK for Jugoslavia or not bothered as we were young, stupid and carefree, so can't help now. In Morocco you get insurance before leaving the ferry ports from little cabins and going into Turkey there is a broker ...

Looks like not from Neum but nearby Have you seen this info. from Gov? Under road travel section. https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/bosnia-and-herzegovina/safety-and-security Drove through in 1981, when part of Yugoslavia, in an old boy racer, blacked out Escort with fat tyres on the back. Re: Tailpipe fallen off - on hol - can I still drive it?

Had to do 300 miles with complete tear in centre. Driving through Hasting's was brilliant, everyone on the seafront was turning round looking for the Hell's Angels. Great sound from the V6.

Re: JAL imports waiting time

I saw him a couple of weeks ago. Massive stock. If he'd had exactly what I wanted, he said he'd have got it ready unconverted in 2-3 weeks. I'd have got the roof elsewhere. He has a list of those on way from Japan they would be here within 2 months. Email and he'll give you a current list. I'm waiti...

Re: Engine check light and temp gauge

I went through a puddle few years back in V6 and light came on. It was the catalytic converter warning light. Maybe shorted. Had wire removed (replacement cats don't have one anyway) and all fine. May have to disconnect battery to remove light, can't remember.
