Re: Gearbox oil cooler line leak
Seems to have done the trick. More worrying now is the state of the water line next to it! :( New exhaust today too. Getting the old one off has finished me off for the day. Why not replace the metal pipes with hose? I have swopped out most of the suspect metal pipes for heater hoses without any pr...

Re: Bongo Breakdown (Paris)
Think I would go with Flanners suggestion. Basically you need fuel and ignition, faults you describe could be either or both. The garage should be able to easily check out the TPS with a multi meter, not rocket science TPS usually totally fail or develop a flat spot that you can push past by pressin...

Re: Fitting back swivel seat
I doubt if you will find a tested seat that swivels for the Bongo.
I havnt been able to any that have proper approval.
Is the swivelling essential to the layout of the van?
If not why not replace it with a non swivel type or reverse a non swivel one.

Re: affected by RIB seat scam - advice?
Tricky one, think Bob had the right idea see a solicitor. Police are a waste of time lip service at best.. Had a similar experience recently buying a tow bar every excuse you could think of then came the lockdown and a new source of excuses. Eventually charged back via CC company. Maybe your house i...

Re: Rear Quarter Repair
Ouch! Its a bit difficult to tell from those images how deep and tight the damage is. Ideally the interior trim would be removed and the dent dressed out on the other hand an alternative would be to use a nail puller, these weld a small series of nails to the panel and then these nails are pulled us...

Re: Front inner arches
Sad but true. Since the MOT became computerised , although not the reason, the testing has been dumbed down. The reason we were told is the need to comply more closely with EU test standards"compliance" they called it, strangely EU countries all have their own standards and most are toughe...

Re: Front inner arches
As far as I am aware there are no pre-formed panels available but they are easy to shape up. Needs good strip out in that area to make life easier. The section at the bottom of the A pillar around mudflap area is a box if you have problems there then opening up that section may reveal more corrosion...

Is it not worth sticking a belt on it first?
You may want keep it then anyhow would be worth more as a runner.

Nth. Do a search on 4WD refurb.
In there somewhere are images of inner wing repairs. I have few more showing various states of play if it would help.

Re: V6 cranking but not starting - run out of ideas!
Bugger! Realistically what you would change when doing the belt depends on the engines pre belt failure condition i.e. cam seals etc.and how long you want to keep it. As a rule of thumb you would change anything crucial that rotates and is driven directly by that belt. Ideally and if the condition w...

Re: V6 cranking but not starting - run out of ideas!
Silly question maybe but is the rotor arm turning when you crank the motor?
