agree with alacrity, any time i've ever seen it done its always been the front drive thats been disconnected, or it can lead to problems, removing the front drive prop is only marginally more difficult than the back

Re: Leccy peeps, riddle me this..?
what!!! from your description, just a bit confusing! i'm taking it that when you power up pin A, both B&C go live, then when you operate the switch in either direction, the coresponding pin B or C, breaks continuity? or am i losing the plot too! are you attempting to add a switch ot just move yo...

Re: Best places to use a trolley jack
under rear diff in middle, lift whole back end, or on cross beam just behind front diff (if you have 4 wheel drive!) has a little knobby bit that sits in jack perfectly and lifts whole front end, assuming your jack is hight enough rated! not wanting to get into sucking eggs territory, but dont forget...

Re: Starting problem after several days of non use
sounds like 2 problems, check for air leak in fuel system allowing fuel to return to tank, and also a drain on the battery, do you have split charge system? 1 thing i've found which causes big drains on cars with the leisure circuit conversion on the back of the fusebox is if the vehicle has the fac...

make sure there's a little ball bearing between the contacts, have seen lots of these where 1 of the contacts, usually an end 1, and this gives extra clearance and the slider, that clicks between/from contact to contact has a ball bearing thats pushed by a little spring, if the contact breaks then t...

Re: Fuel sender unit earthing point.
easiest and quickest way is to ground the whole tank, at several points there is a 'lip' where the 2 halves meet, simply drill a hole n use a self tapper to connect a wire and find a nearby nut, most of them are 10mm in that area and jobs done! Julian

Re: Flashing Glow plug light ( but no error code)
was the car sat for a period? the wastegate on the 99-2001 models is hugely over engineered and prone to seizure, does the light start flashing before you start the vehicle? (after you have reset the ecu?), or is it about 30 secs after? if so there is 1 test that you can try but I'm hesitant to sugg...

Re: Mazda Kitchen Battery Charging.
From the factory kitchens I've seen, you have to push the button on the front and that starts the recharge cycle, bit of a weird setup, usually just rip it all out and install a split charge relay, saves you about 20kg's in weight too with all the factory charger/inverter etc
