Re: HOLD switch not working on auto gear lever
I'm no expert - but if you've recently had the cam belt changed the gear lever may have been moved out of the way. If there's a connector loose somewhere then this could be the cause.... :? I'd take off the engine covers and have a rummage around to see if there's anything obviously loose, electrica...

The output from mine is cool within about 30 seconds or so and the whole van's comfortable in less than 5 minutes....MAXANDPADDY wrote:Don't expect instant Cold from your aircon. ....

I'm not 100% about this - I'm sure someone who really knows will be along shortly....
If I recall correctly, don't you have to check the ATF with the gearbox loaded up? i.e. with the engine running and in D..... otherwise a high reading may be obtained

Welcome Martin, I've only managed to get to one meet so far - well worth it, the folks round here are a good bunch. Keep an eye on the forum for up coming meets (you've missed one today as it happens at Wigan)
Cheers,

Re: Noise from front passenger wheel
Turn the front wheels to full lock and have a look at the rubber gaitor that's around the drive shaft on the inside of the centre of the wheel. If it's split or showing signs of leaking, then the CV Joint will be on it's way out.
Loud clicking noise???
Dave (just ordered a new pair myself!)

CV Joint
My Freda's developed an occasional loud clicking from (I think) the near side front wheel when turning slowly with the steering hard right. Now I'm assuming this is the CV Joint - so I've just been pricing them up..... :x Can someone who knows about these things tell me if this is the same as this ?...

Re: What do S and L mean on the autobox?
Not sure what S stands for, but in S the Bongo will set off in first gear and not shift above third; i.e. only uses first, second and third. Pressing the Hold button on the side of the gear selector will cause it to only use second. In L (presumably standing for Low) the bongo only uses first and se...

Re: Voltage regulator
Good news DP - the supplier accepted there was a problem and replaced it then? Well, I wasn't all together happy to do things this way - I had to buy another new one; he'll refund me as soon as he receives the faulty unit - but I felt as though I was over a barrel really. He tells me he's sent out ...
