They can dim and if they start getting dim they will continue to get dimmer! Two possible problems, it might be the sockets for the bulbs, they have a habit of overheating and then giving a poor connection, replace them with ceramic ones from ebay if they get hot! A 75ah should start a properly running diesel Bongo (which start instantly judging by mine) so maybe look up cca values for batteries of that size? Yup that will start a maintained Bongo no probs.... 068 are the closest to Factory (but 70Ah a little higher than factory fit)..... most are around 620...

Nice job Geoff.... I used 24 led panels in the cab lights and tailgate lights and 36 led panel in the Aft plus an LED tube in the rear cabin.... works well and I used the really bright white ones... just need to copy your awning ones...

Durite or Merlin work for me..... when I've done others now in the absence of Willinton Kits... Going to change my Willinton for a Durite set up over the Christmas period..

Fit a Fumoto Valve... http://www.quickvalve.co.uk/index.htm ..... Just need to fit once and raise Bongo just enough to slide your Oil Drain Tray under.... flip the valve open and out comes the oil..... The usual suspects have been mentioned for the "early" Cat vehicles.... Lambda and Temp sensor... On many of these I find you have trouble tracking down the exact cause of any issues/faults unlike the later OBD2 motors... But all is not lost as there are fewer parts to fault find or replac...

Turned out to be a good meeting...sadly we could only stop the one night....but in all a nice site apart from a little lacking in the bathroom facilities for the amount of Bongo's on site....the Barbie Pink Tardis loo was a novelty Nice to see Bongoliers old and new..... must get to more meets next ...

I have a 110Ah lowline leisure in my Bongo....these are used on the snug VW T5's and under the seats of coachbuilt motorhomes... for reference...Im on a "willinton" battery tray and there is clearance all around it...pm me for dimensions
