Re: Waeco MS 50 Cruise Control - Fitting
Good point - on my diesel it went straight to the vacuum pipe in front of the cambelt cover with the spare outlet but that would already have been used if the winter pack fitted. On my V6, there is a vacuum pipe on the N/S rocker cover so it could be spliced into easily. A few years back I bought an...

Re: Rear spring locators
They can only really go in one place. As a general rule when do anything with suspension or brakes, it's a good idea to do one side at a time so you have the other side for reference when it comes to putting it all back together (although it typically is a mirror image of the other side). Anyway, du...

Re: Pimping hook ups
Black might look quite nice against blue paintwork or alternatively you could get it sprayed to match the rest of the van. There are places that can put a chrome plating onto plastic but it might not be a cheap option.

Re: Overheat coming home from garage
A great post, OP. No offence but now might be a good time to highlight (to any new or potential 2.0 ltr petrol owners) that the bleeding demonstration video (excellent though it undoubtedly is) does not apply to them as the 2.0 ltr petrol is self-bleeding. The method demonstrated in the video is on...

Re: Throttle position sensor on 1998 2.5 v6 Auto Petrol
The rotor arm was fairly pitted anyway and I suspect the parts may have been originals so the first time changed and likely due. Be careful! The original part (made by Denso) has a special coating on it which looks like it's pitted but its meant to be like that. If you do the old trick of trying to...

Can't help wondering why AVA didn't just make them like that in the first place. Much easier to fit. Very similar to some original Japanese ones I've got:

Re: replacing the rocker plate cover
Does anyone know how much a rocker cover gasket (rocker plate cover) cost and how much it would cost to fit it. Always help to mention what engine you have ;). Assuming it's for your 2 litre petrol, this is the diagram you need: http://lushprojects.com/bongopartsmk2/code=1010A&cat=a2ajra0c&...

I have never once had any cold calling/PPI calls on my mobile phone. I never use my real number on compare the market etc. I listed a car on gumtree about three weeks ago & since the day I put it on with my mobile number & have been bombarded with cold calls mainly from injury solicitors ab...

Re: How long does Aqua Kem Blue last?
I've found that 'unused' chemical in the loo can result in discolouration of the inside of the tank but that's likely to cause a problem with its operation. I tend to empty, rinse & refill with the normal dilution & it's fine, but if I knew it was not going to be used for some months then I ...

Re: tappets
Welcome to the forum . Yes, your V6 has hydraulic tappets. Might we worth an oil and filter change but don't use an engine flush as I found that made them slightly noisier.
