Re: Leisure battery keeps going flat.

Done some measurements. With the engine off SB 12.7v. LB 11.7v At idle SB 12.24v LB 11.7v At 2000revs SB 13.9v. LB 11.7 At 3000 revs SB 14.05v. LB 11.7 So the LB staying at 11.7 tells me the relay is not switching over. But is this because the starter battery is not charged enough? Do I need to do t...

Re: Front Fans Stopped Working

You sure the fan is actually not working as a common problem is the aircon matrix getting gummed up with debris. The fan works but can't blow into the cab. Easy fix if this is the case.

Re: Leisure battery keeps going flat.

Forgive me if I have got this completely wrong but I don't think the split charge relay switches from " one to the other". From what I observe on the battery monitor I fitted recently, the relay switches between separate battery circuits when the alternator output is low or absent and par...

Leisure battery keeps going flat.

Where do I start. New leisure battery about 6 months ago. Just lately, if I leave it about 2weeks without use the Lbattery is dead. It used to be the split charge relay would click over from one to the other roughly every 2 seconds or so at tickover. Now it is very erratic and sometimes while drivin...

Re: Towbar sag, advice please

Yes. Mine is the second type shown there. Possibly this is the problem and not the welding at all. Looks to me that bracket is only designed to carry the bumper.
So what advice on resetting it in place for welding? Or will I have to live with a sagging bumper?

Bought them from the bongo shop at the bongo bash one year. Think they were home made. Steel tubing and a rectangular folded footing.

Lost my roof bar spacers. Need replacements.

I lost my white nylon washers that space the roofbars. Are metal washers good enough or is there a reason for the nylon?

Towbar sag, advice please

The MOT has spotted some welding that needs doing so I have decided to get the towbar bracket welded at the same time. My towbar is in two parts, bolted together towards the nearside bracket. I removed his portion to reveal the bracket in question and can clearly see the problem. There are 4 spot we...

Header tank is on the nearside i.e. next to the kerb.
Haha. Good call. I always get em mixed up. Why can't people use left and right.

Re: Coolant Boiling out of the Header tank

dont drive it . and ask to be recovered to your mechanics. then ask your mechanic to fill the system whilst NOT running it, then do a pressure test on the system. leaks on the off side sounds like rad leaking/or a hose split. Water was coming from offside wheel arch, most likely from the header. So...

Re: metal coolant pipe

Hey Phil, how did you get on? Reason for asking is that I've just found the exact same thing on the pipe to the rear heater on our poor old Bongolina, and was wondering whether some tee piece DIY thingy would do the trick. There has been a small-ish leak there for a few months which I couldn't face...

Re: Squiffy Rooof !

First outing this year and nearly got stuck there. When putting the top down there was a clicking from the right side roof motor and it wasn't going down. Stopped immediately. The three inserts in the roof that the motor screws into all popped out. With help from a fellow camper we unscrewed the ins...
