I was in the local town there last year and I opened the bonnet to check something.
Probably the only time I ever opened the bonnet in a built up area and this guy slows down and asks if everything's alright...
and he was only driving another bongo

Re: Rough start but then no problem at all
Ah OK, I'll just go for the shorter ones so as that should be what's in mine. Is there anything else that I should be replacing at the same time or will i just put in the glow plugs and see if that does the trick?

Re: Rough start but then no problem at all
Just wanted to quickly ask which glow plugs I should go with? 98 2.5TD so I think the website recommends the 83mm https://bongoland.co.uk/product/glowplugs-pre-99-set-4/ But I've also read on here that the 102mm will also fit as the extra length is on the outside. https://bongoland.co.uk/product/set...

Re: How does this look??
As mentioned above, the second photo appears to show some pretty serious corrosion which has been painted over.

Re: Passed the test
It might be possible to switch for a regular size stereo but a double din won't because the vents above it are mounted into the dash

The radio should have been where the heating controls are. It's an awful stretch across
Well if you're going to get a steering wheel remote, make sure it's a Bluetooth one. The IR one only just about works when you're driving on a straight road (line of sight)

Re: Location for rear cam/ reversing camera
The camera came with some of that double sided 3m tape (similar to what's used on GoPro mounts) and that has held up well so far. I actually figured it out the hard way about the viewing angle  I had to disassemble the unit and flip the lens 180°. You can get really wide angle cameras like 170°...

Re: Location for rear cam/ reversing camera
Hi I put one where the mirror was IMG_20200830_180232.jpg I really like the idea of installing mine where the reversing camera was and that looks great. Do you remember which camera you bought? Can I ask how you mounted it? thanks Hi Brett, I can't recall the exact model of camera I used as I didn'...

Ah right, I was thinking I could've saved myself some grief looking for someone to jump start it earlier this year
That reminds me, maybe I'll get a deal on one of those rechargeable booster packs for black Friday

Re: Passed the test
Hi Oibaf, congrats on getting the van through the test. Just going to say that you would be better of buying an ISO wiring harness adapter and just plugging it in. I had to wire mine directly and it was a pain as you've to figure out the colour code. Also, you should get a cage with the stereo but b...

Re: Charging light fault
Just as Geoff says… If you have the 'Cold Start' dual batteries you will have a switch with an engine logo down by your right knee somewhere to activate the system. Warm welcome to the Forum. :) So say if I ran down the starter battery for whatever reason, would switching this on let me start it us...
